Creamy and spicy artichoke chicken pasta with lime flavor
I first discovered the original recipe from Foodiebride; however, I found the recipe too sour for my palate. I decided to replace lemon with lime and added one of my favorite ingredients: fresh green chili pepper. Now it is perfect!

Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 2 to 3 slices bacon
- 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1/4 cup flour
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 can artichoke hearts, drained and quartered
- 2 tsp capers, drained
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 Tbsp butter, chilled
- 2 tsp fresh green chili peppers
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta in a large pot until al dente, about 7 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large pan, cook the bacon over medium heat until well done.
- Remove bacon to paper towel.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, salt, and pepper.
- Lightly coat chicken with flour mixture.
- Toss chicken in the pan. Fry with the leftover bacon grease until golden brown. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Stir in artichokes, chili pepper and capers into the pan.
- Deglaze the pan with the wine. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the broth and lime juice, cook for 2 minutes more.
- Stir in the cream and the butter to the sauce, keep stirring until well mixed. Season with salt and pepper.
- Return chicken to the pan. Toss in pasta and bacon into the chicken mixture.
- Garnish with parsleys. Serve immediately.
